Benefit Enrollment Center (BEC) program
The Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAAA) is proud to introduce the Benefit Enrollment Center (BEC)—a free resource that helps Medicare-eligible individuals with limited income and resources navigate the benefits enrollment process with confidence.
The BEC provides personalized, one-on-one support for adults age 65+ and adults with disabilities who may feel overwhelmed by complex applications, renewals, and eligibility requirements.
Who We Help
The BEC is ideal for individuals who:
- Need assistance completing benefit applications or renewals
- Were previously denied benefits and need extra guidance
- Have limited family or social support
- Feel confused or unsure about which programs they may qualify for
The BEC team uses a person-centered approach to understand each individual’s needs and connect them with programs that can improve financial stability, access to health care, and overall quality of life.
What We Do
BEC staff provide hands-on support for initial applications and recertifications for core benefit programs, including:
- Medicare Part D Extra Help (Low Income Subsidy, LIS)
- Medicare Savings Programs (MSP)
- Medicaid
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
